Africa Amini Maasai Lodge was founded by the non-profit Africa Amini Alama charity with the goal of better-introducing visitors to Tanzania to the Maasai people’s unique culture while also assisting in the sustainability and development of the local Maasai community.
Africa Amini Maasai Lodge merges western luxury accommodations with traditional Maasai food, architecture, and activities. All earnings go to the local Maasai community for social projects.
Solar-powered lighting and hot water are available in eco-friendly bungalows. There’s a side table, a wardrobe, and Maasai-style chairs in each room. A rain shower and a flushing toilet are included in the modern bathroom.
Breakfast is served daily, and the lodge serves home-cooked international and traditional Swahili cuisine, as well as Maasai specialties, for lunch and dinner, using fresh, organic products cultivated on-site.
The opportunity to participate in a variety of cultural activities, such as spear throwing competitions, guided nature walks to learn about traditional Maasai medicine, dance performances, handicraft lessons, traditional cooking, and much more, will be the true highlight of your stay in Africa Amini Maasai Lodge.
Africa Amini Life’s location gives it one of the best places in Tanzania for those interested in visiting Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. When the sky is clear, early morning wake-up calls (with much-needed coffee or tea) can be arranged to assure you view the Roof of Africa.
