For hundreds of years, the Dhow, the beating heart of East African civilization, has transported people, commodities, and treasures to and from Zanzibar. Today, the Dhow Palace serves as a gathering place for people and cultures from all over the world, complete with period décor and antiques. Sheikh bin Mujbia, a wealthy trader, used to live at Dhow Palace. Before it was sold, Bin Mujbia and his ancestors owned the building for almost three centuries.
