5 días de safari en Selous y Nyerere desde Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, depart Dar es Salaam and travel towards Nyerere National Park by road. Enjoy the changing scenery as you leave the city behind and travel through the beautiful landscapes of southern Tanzania.

Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy your first safari activity, depending on your arrival time. Relax in the evening and prepare for several days of exploring the wilderness.

After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive through Nyerere National Park. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hippos, and a variety of antelope species. With your experienced safari guide, explore different areas of the park and look for predators such as lions and wild dogs, which Nyerere is particularly known for. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive.

After breakfast, enjoy one of the highlights of your southern Tanzania adventure—a boat safari on the Río Rufiji. Cruise along the waterways and discover a completely different perspective of the park. Look for hippos and crocodiles in the water while watching elephants and other wildlife gathering along the riverbanks. The river is also an excellent place for birdwatching, with numerous species found around the waterways. Return to your lodge or camp later in the day and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Start the day with a guided safari a pie, accompanied by an experienced ranger. Walking through the African wilderness provides a more intimate connection with nature as you learn about animal tracks, plants, smaller wildlife, and the surrounding ecosystem. After some time to relax and enjoy lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive. Explore the park during the cooler hours and look for wildlife becoming more active as the day progresses.

Begin your final day with an early morning game drive, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is particularly active. Enjoy one last opportunity to see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and potentially predators before leaving the park.

After the game drive, return for breakfast and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. Arrive in the city later in the day, marking the end of your 5-day Selous/Nyerere National Park safari.
