While you can't climb Kilimanjaro in a single day on Mount Kilimanjaro One Day Tour our day excursion to this iconic, snow-capped mountain will give you a good idea of why Africa's tallest peak is so popular. We'll trek the Marangu Route to Mandara Hut for a picnic lunch. While others head uphill, we'll return to Arusha.

Drive to Marangu Gate

Your Kilimanjaro day trip begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha followed by a scenic drive through Moshi and the beautiful countryside toward Marangu Gate, the main entrance to Mount Kilimanjaro along the way you will pass coffee and banana plantations, local villages, and enjoy views of the mountain if the weather is clear so upon arrival at Marangu Gate, you will complete park registration and meet your professional mountain guide before starting a guided rainforest hike through the lush lower slopes of Kilimanjaro, during the walk you may spot blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, tropical birds, and giant rainforest trees covered in moss, after 4 hours of hiking, you will reach Mandara Hut with elevation 2,700 meters above sea level, where you will enjoy lunch and a short rest while taking in the peaceful mountain atmosphere you may also take a short walk to Maundi Crater for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
