Transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha Town.

Your journey begins with arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met by our driver guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha so after checking in, you will have time to relax and recover from your long-haul international flight. In evening you will meet with your mountain guide will conduct a detailed climb briefing, explaining the route, daily schedules, altitude safety, and equipment requirements. Your gear will be checked carefully to ensure you are fully prepared for the climb. The rest of the evening is spent resting, hydrating, and preparing mentally for the adventure ahead.

Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

After breakfast you will meet with our Kilimanjaro mountain crews, after completing the packing and ensuring that everything is correct, you start a scenic drive to the western entrance of the park at Lemosho Gate where registration formalities are completed. The trek begins through a lush tropical rainforest, one of the most beautiful sections of the mountain. The trail is gentle and shaded by tall trees draped with moss and lichen. Along the way you may see wildlife such as black-and-white colobus monkeys and colorful bird species. After a steady hike through the forest you reach Mti Mkubwa Camp, meaning “Big Tree Camp,” where you will spend your first night on the mountain surrounded by dense forest vegetation.

Day 3

Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Today the trail gradually climbs out of the rainforest and enters the heath and moorland zone. The landscape opens up and offers your first impressive views of the surrounding plains and the slopes of Kilimanjaro. The trail leads across ridges covered with giant heather and volcanic rock formations. As you gain altitude the air becomes cooler and the vegetation becomes more sparse. Eventually you reach the vast Shira Plateau, one of the largest high-altitude plateaus in the world. Your destination is Shira 1 Camp, where you will camp with expansive views across the plateau and possibly your first clear sight of Kibo Peak

Day 4

Shira 1 Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

This is one of the most important acclimatization days of the trek. The trail gradually climbs across the Shira Plateau toward the impressive volcanic landmark known as Lava Tower, today you reaching an altitude of around 4,630 meters you served hot lunch and short break before descent to the Barranco camp. This section allows your body to experience higher elevation before descending again. After spending some time near Lava Tower for acclimatization, the trail descends into the beautiful Barranco Valley. Surrounded by giant senecio plants and dramatic cliffs, you will arrive at Barranco Camp, one of the most scenic camps on the entire mountain.

Day 5

Barranco Camp to Katanga Camp

The day begins with the exciting ascent of the famous Barranco Wall. Although it appears steep and intimidating from below, it is mostly a fun scramble and offers incredible views once you reach the top. After climbing the wall, the trail continues through a series of valleys and ridges with impressive views of the southern glaciers of Kilimanjaro. The trek eventually leads to Karanga Camp where you stop for the night. This shorter day is important for acclimatization and helps prepare your body for the higher elevations ahead.

Day 6

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Today you trek toward the high alpine desert zone of Kilimanjaro. The landscape becomes more barren and rocky as vegetation disappears due to the altitude. The trail gradually climbs along a ridge until you reach Barafu Camp, which serves as the base camp for the summit attempt. Barafu means “ice” in Swahili, and the camp sits on a rocky ridge with breathtaking views of Mawenzi Peak and the vast plains far below. After an early dinner, your guide will brief you about the summit attempt. You will rest early because the climb to the summit begins around midnight.

Day 7

Barafu Camp to Uhuru peak to Mweka Camp

You will be awakened at midnight and after a light breakfast, start climbing around 1 AM. It is at this stage that the climb becomes much more difficult. After several hours of slow and steady hiking you reach Stella Point on the rim of the crater just in time to see the sunrise over Africa. From here the trail continues along the crater edge to the highest point on the continent, Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters). After celebrating your achievement and taking photos, you begin the descent back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and lunch. The journey then continues down through alpine desert and moorland to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain

Mweka Camp

After breakfast continue to descent down to Mweka gate where you sign your name and details in a register. At the gate you will receive your Kilimanjaro summit certificate. Those climbers who successful to reached stella point are issued with green certificate and those climbers who reached Uhuru peak received gold certificates. Meet by a drive guide and drive to last point for hot lunch before back to your hotel and say goodbye to your mountain crew.

On your last day in Tanzania, your driver will pick you up from your hotel, then you will be transported on time to the airport where we will wish you a safe journey and good luck.
