Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Tanzania Classic Tours and transferred to Arusha. The rest of the day is reserved for relaxation after your international journey, allowing you to settle in and prepare for the exciting safari ahead in Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

Full Day in Northern Serengeti

Today is dedicated to exploring the remarkable landscapes of northern Serengeti National Park, especially around the famous Mara River, where the dramatic river crossings often take place. Accompanied by your Tanzania Classic Tours professional driver guide, you will spend the day following the movement of the massive herds that form part of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Thousands of wildebeests and zebras gather along the riverbanks, sometimes waiting hours or even days before attempting the crossing. When the moment arrives, the herds plunge into the river in a breathtaking and chaotic display while crocodiles lurk in the waters and predators wait along the banks. The day offers incredible opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.

After breakfast, your Tanzania Classic Tours professional driver guide will guide you on a scenic drive from the Serengeti toward the beautiful highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will enjoy wildlife sightings as the landscape gradually changes from open plains to lush highland forests and rolling hills. This journey offers wonderful scenery and a final chance to enjoy wildlife viewing before reaching the Ngorongoro region.

Ngorongoro Crater and Departure

After an early breakfast, your Tanzania Classic Tours professional driver guide will take you down into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. The crater floor hosts a remarkable concentration of wildlife, offering excellent opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and many other animals within this breathtaking natural setting. After an exciting game drive and picnic lunch, you will return to Arusha where you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable safari with Tanzania Classic Tours.
