Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your transfer drive guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for relaxation and overnight stay, you will attend a detailed climbing briefing about your upcoming trek on Mount Kilimanjaro via the Rongai Route.

Simba camp

After breakfast you drive to Rongai Gate near the Kenyan border where registration formalities will be completed before beginning your climb, the trek starts through farmland and pine forest before gradually entering the rainforest zone with beautiful scenery and opportunities to spot monkeys and birdlife. The Rongai Route is quieter and less crowded than other Kilimanjaro routes, offering a peaceful trekking experience.

Kikelewa Camp

Today your ascent through moorland landscapes with spectacular views of the Kenyan plains and the northern side of Kilimanjaro and the trail gradually climbs through open terrain filled with unique alpine vegetation and giant groundsels.

Mawenzi Turn Camp

The hike becomes steeper as you gain altitude and enter the alpine desert zone, but the breathtaking scenery makes the climb rewarding, upon arrival at Mawenzi Tarn Camp, enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon resting and taking a short acclimatization walk around the camp while enjoying panoramic mountain views.

Kibo Hut

After an early breakfast, cross the vast alpine desert saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks on your way to Kibo Hut. The terrain is dry, rocky, and lunar-like as you approach the summit zone of Kilimanjaro. Although the trek is gradual, the high altitude makes the hike more physically demanding. Arrive at Kibo Hut in the afternoon for rest, hydration, and preparation for the midnight summit attempt.

Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

Begin the midnight climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Witness a breathtaking sunrise from Africa’s highest point, with panoramic views over the plains and glaciers. After celebrating at the summit, descend back via Kibo and Horombo Huts.

Day 7

Marangu Gate

You will hike back to Marangu gate and the park headquarters. At marangu gate you will sign you name and details in register, the successful climbers receive summit certificate, those climbers who Gilman’s point point is issued with green certificate and those who reached uhuru peak receive gold certificate. Then meet your drive guide and get hot lunch before drive back to your hotel.

Ngorongoro Crater

You will start your morning with scrumptious breakfast and get ready for another day of the wilderness. Today you will be driven down into the Ngorongoro Crater for a magnificent game drive and wildlife watching. The Ngorongoro crater has a vast number of animals including lion, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, Africa elephant, Giraffe, cheetah, and it is a good opportunity to see the rare Black Rhino and then drive back to Central serengeti national for Incredible game drive.

Day 9

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, set out for another exciting day in Serengeti National Park, beginning with a morning game drive to explore different areas of the park. With the sun rising higher, wildlife activity increases, giving you the chance to see predators like lions, leopard and cheetahs on the prowl, as well as large herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebras. Enjoy the thrill of spotting wildlife and capturing stunning picture amidst the breathtaking scenery.

Serengeti to Arusha

You will start your morning with scrumptious breakfast and get ready for another day of the wilderness begin the scenic overland drive back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the beautiful highlands of northern Tanzania, along the journey you enjoy views of Maasai villages, volcanic landscapes, and wildlife along the route while stopping for lunch at a suitable and drive back to Arusha Town for relaxation.
