After being transferred from your hotel to Zanzibar Airport, you will board a small aircraft that will take you directly to the Serengeti Airstrip. After a delicious lunch at the lodge, you’ll head out for an evening wildlife drive, where you can enjoy the stunning Serengeti sunset.

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in the Northern Serengeti, focusing on the Mara River areas where the famous river crossings take place. With your Tanzania Classic Tours professional safari guide, spend the day tracking the movement of the migration herds. Witnessing a river crossing is unpredictable but incredibly rewarding, as thousands of wildebeest attempt to cross crocodile-filled waters while predators wait nearby. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, allowing you to remain close to the action throughout the day. Continue your exploration in the afternoon before returning to camp in the evening.

Morning Game Drive in Northern Serengeti and flight back to Zanzibar

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Northern Serengeti, taking advantage of the early hours when wildlife is most active. This is another opportunity to witness migration herds or spot predators before departure. Later, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable migration safari.

Lake Masek Tented Lodge

From the private terrace of your tent you will be able to observe the wildlife in the area. Many animals frequent the lake in search of water, so this camp is a prime viewing spot. This area is also the main site of the Great Migration between December and April, and the Big Five frequent the area. The camp is set up in a different part of the area each year, to ensure that from your own tent you will always have the best vantage point for this awe-inspiring spectacle. The camp is also environmentally friendly, without compromising on comfort and attention to detail. Electricity is generated by solar panels and rainwater is collected. All products used are biodegradable.
