Fly to Northern Serengeti

Take a morning flight from Zanzibar Airport, departing at 7:00 AM and arriving at Kogatende Airstrip at 11:05 AM. Upon arrival, you will be met by your professional Tanzania Classic Tours driver-guide, who will warmly welcome you and drive for a game drive en route north to witness first and famously foremost: seeing the world’s most fascinating animals. On the way, you will spot other animals like giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, and many others. You’ll arrive North around the afternoon and set off for lunch and then head toward Mara River to witness the river crossing. Later in the evening when the sun sets, you will make your way towards your tented lodge which is located not far from the river for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Full day game drive in Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, you will go for a full-day game drive in Northern Serengeti. If yesterday you didn’t get an opportunity to witness the crossing, then today you will head again to the river. You’ll continue your focus on the great migration as you delve deeper into this experience spending a whole day by the Mara River. A famous spot for the river crossing, the Mara River is situated in the Mara Region entering through both Kenya and Tanzania. Over 1.2 million wildebeest and zebras along with gazelles and topi move in a constant cycle through the endless plain to the Mara ecosystem searching for nutrition grass and water each year. This is the time of the year when hungry predators such as leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, and crocs make sure only the strongest survive. Drive to Central Serengeti

You’ll wake up early for sunrise and drive back to the lodge for breakfast. Before leaving the northern part of amazing Serengeti, you’ll take the opportunity this morning to spend more time observing this wonder of the natural world at Mara River. As well as the huge herds, other wildlife in the Northern part of Serengeti include giraffes, impalas, hartebeest, and waterbuck —your driver-guide will be on the lookout for these, as well as some species of birdlife that have been spotted here. In the afternoon, you will return to the central part of Serengeti. You’ll arrive late evening, check-in, and head to your room to freshen up. Later on, you’ll go to the main area for your dinner while enjoying the spectacular view

Full Day in Central Serengeti

Awaken to the gentle sounds of the African wilderness and start your day with a refreshing breakfast in the heart of Serengeti National Park. Today’s full-day game drive will immerse you in one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems—a true paradise for wildlife lovers. The Serengeti is home to around 3,000 lions, often seen resting in the shade or lounging under acacia trees, famously inspiring The Lion King. As you explore the vast plains, you may also encounter bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, and a rich variety of birdlife, including the majestic Kori bustard and colorful Fischer’s lovebird. After a day filled with thrilling wildlife encounters and breathtaking scenery, return to your lodge within the park to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and fall asleep under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the Serengeti.
