Arrival and Relaxation

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take time to relax after your flight and enjoy the lush surroundings of the city, with views of Mount Meru in the distance. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore Arusha town’s vibrant markets, local crafts, and cultural sites, or simply unwind at your lodge. Your guide will brief you on the safari route and what to expect over the coming days.

Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Spot elephants bathing in the Tarangire River, watch giraffes browsing the acacia trees, and observe lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they roam the plains. Today, journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Encounter a high density of wildlife in a single day, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeest. The crater’s unique ecosystem offers incredible photo opportunities, from the sparkling soda lakes to the dramatic crater walls. In the afternoon, drive to Karatu, passing through scenic highlands and small local villages. On your way back to Arusha, stop at Lake Manyara National Park for a short game drive.
