Arrival in Dar es Salaam & Drive to Mikumi

Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be warmly welcomed and begin your journey to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes you through scenic countryside, passing local villages, farmlands, and the beautiful Uluguru Mountains. Upon arrival in Mikumi, enjoy a short game drive en route to your lodge, where you may already spot giraffes, zebras, and antelopes grazing on the open plains. After check-in, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of your lodge.

Full Day in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. The park is known for its open savannah landscape, often compared to the Serengeti, which allows for excellent wildlife visibility. With your Tanzania Classic Tours professional safari guide, explore different areas of the park in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of antelope species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your exploration in the afternoon. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Morning Game Drive in Mikumi National Park and flight to Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ruaha National Park. The flight offers stunning views of Tanzania’s landscapes as you head deeper into the wilderness. Upon arrival, your Tanzania Classic Tours professional safari guide will welcome you and begin a game drive en route to your lodge. Ruaha’s rugged terrain, baobab trees, and the Great Ruaha River create a dramatic safari setting. After check-in and lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Full Day in Ruaha National

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in Ruaha National Park. This park is known for its large elephant population and strong predator presence. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the park, allowing you to maximize your time in the wilderness before returning to the lodge in the evening
