Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our transfer specialist will promptly meet you and take you to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Later, your mountain guide will meet you to brief you on the hike, check your gear, and ensure you're equipped for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

After breakfast, head to Marangu gate at Mount Kilimanjaro National Park (1,840 meters). Lunch provided. Register, weigh luggage, then start hike through forest. Keep an eye out for colobus monkeys. Reach Mandara Hut for the night. Guide briefs on next day's hike after dinner.

After breakfast, leave Mandara Hut. You'll notice the vegetation changing to shrubs as you reach the tree line. About 4 to 6 hours later, you'll arrive at Horombo Camp (3,720 meters). Enjoy stunning views that are breathtaking of Mawenzi peak and Kibo peak from the cam

Acclimatization day at Horombo Hut 3,700 meter or optional hike to Zebra Rocks 3,980 meter
It's a crucial day for acclimatization. After breakfast, hike from Horombo Hut to Zebra Rock (3,980 meters) for 2 to 3 hours. The distinctive black and white stripes of the rock give it its name. Return to Horombo Hut for a cooked lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing to prepare for the next day's hike.

Horombo Hut 3,700 meter to Kibo Hut 4,700 meter
After an early breakfast, start trekking to Kibo Hut. The trail passes through the "last water point" and the "saddle," a plant-less plateau connecting Kibo with Mawenzi. Expect a 5 to 6-hour hike. Have an early dinner for a restful night, as you'll be waking up at midnight

Kibo Hut 4,700 meter to Uhuru Peak 5,895 meter to Horombo Hut 3,700 meter
Today is summit day, starting before dawn for an easier ascent over frozen lava ash. After reaching Gilman’s Point at 5,715 meters, it's just 1-2 hours to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters. Descending, aided by melted lava ash, is quick, returning to Kibo Hut for lunch. Then, it's a 4-hour descent to Horombo Hut, reaching it by evening.
