After breakfast, you will have transport to the Rongai gate about 3 to 4 hours from Arusha. Your real adventure will start by passing alongside mountain farmer ‘field and alpine forest before it inters the sparse mountain forest zone, you can possibly spot some white and black colobus monkey on the to Simba camp, after 3 hours of climb, you will reach the Simba camp for dinner and overnight.
From Simba camp start your day with a light breakfast, this trail will take you to the second cave camp where you will stop for the hot lunch therefore after short break, you will carry on to Kikelelwa through undulating terrain to camp, the climb will take 6 hours to the next camp.

The climb will take approximately 4 to 5 hours
It is known as the summit final; the summit attack will be approximately 5-6 hours from Kibo to Uhuru peak 5,895 meters. The summit attack will start at midnight when the lava ash is still frozen and through on it easily, you will experience the sunrise at the Gilimans’point 5,720 meters, the sunrise will warm you while you climb for another 1 hour to uhuru peak. After reaching to the summit, you will take the same trail to descend back to Kibo for rest and hot lunch, thereafter lunch and rest you will continue descent to Horombo hut.
