Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

On Day 1, you begin your journey from Lemosho Gate, which is located on the western side of the mountain. The trek takes you through lush rainforests, where you can spot unique flora and fauna. The hike is relatively easy, allowing your body to adjust to the altitude. After a few hours of walking, you'll arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp for an overnight stay in the heart of the rainforest

Today's trek takes you from Mtimkubwa Camp to the stunning Shira Camp 1, where the landscape transforms from dense forest to open moorland. The summit day begins early with a midnight trek toward Uhuru Peak.
