7-Day Mount Meru Climb & Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your Tanzania Classic Tours representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your international flight and preparing for your Mount Meru adventure

After breakfast, drive to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park to begin your Mount Meru climb. Accompanied by a professional mountain guide and an armed ranger, trek through lush montane forest where you may encounter giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, and colobus monkeys before arriving at Miriakamba Hut for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, continue your ascent through beautiful heath and moorland vegetation while enjoying panoramic views of the Meru Crater and Ash Cone. Arrive at Saddle Hut in the afternoon, where you can relax or take an optional acclimatization hike to Little Meru for breathtaking sunset views.

Shortly after midnight, begin your summit attempt to Socialist Peak (4,566 metres). Reach the summit at sunrise and enjoy magnificent panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Meru Crater, and the surrounding plains. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Momella Gate where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Arusha. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and recovering at your hotel after your successful climb.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its ancient baobab trees, impressive elephant herds, and abundant wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes while searching for lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes, and numerous bird species before driving to  to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation

Following an early breakfast, descend over 600 metres into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, offering excellent opportunities to spot black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, flamingos, and many other fascinating species.

After breakfast, visit the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its lush groundwater forest, scenic lake, abundant birdlife, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a rewarding game drive before returning to Arusha in the afternoon and Drive to Kilimanjaro Airport for Departure.
