6-Day Selous & Mikumi Safari from Zanzibar

After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your direct flight to Mikumi. Upon arrival, meet your private safari guide and begin your first game drive in Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge or camp and, depending on your arrival time, enjoy an afternoon game drive or relax at your accommodation.

Spend a full day exploring the vast wilderness of Nyerere National Park. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives through diverse landscapes, searching for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, and various antelope species.

Nyerere is also famous for its African wild dogs and offers opportunities to encounter lions and other predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your wildlife exploration.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic boat safari on the Rufiji River, one of the highlights of southern Tanzania. Cruise along the waterways while observing hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and wildlife coming to the riverbanks to drink. Later, enjoy a guided walking safari accompanied by a professional ranger. Experience the wilderness on foot while learning about animal tracks, plants, insects, and the smaller details of the ecosystem.
