10-Day Kilimanjaro Climb & Zanzibar Relaxation

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Tanzania Classic Tours representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in, enjoy a relaxed afternoon at the hotel to recover from your journey and prepare for the climb. Your mountain guide will also provide a briefing and assist with final preparations for the trek.

After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate with your mountain crew. After completing registration and park formalities, begin your trek through the lush rainforest. The trail gradually climbs through beautiful forest scenery before reaching Machame Camp, where you will have dinner and rest.

After breakfast, continue climbing through the rainforest before entering the heath and moorland zone.Enjoy changing vegetation and beautiful mountain views as you trek toward Shira Camp, where you will have dinner and rest.

After breakfast, trek across the Shira Plateau toward Lava Tower, gaining elevation to support acclimatization. After lunch, descend toward Barranco Camp through the dramatic alpine desert landscape. Enjoy dinner and rest at camp as you prepare for the next stage of the climb.

After breakfast, climb the famous Barranco Wall with the support of your experienced mountain guides. Continue through the Karanga Valley toward Barafu Camp, the final base camp before the summit. Upon arrival, have an early dinner and rest while preparing for the overnight summit attempt.

Your summit attempt begins around midnight. Trek slowly through the darkness toward Stella Point before continuing along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres, the highest point in Africa. After celebrating your achievement and taking photographs, begin the descent toward Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.

After breakfast, begin your final descent through the rainforest toward Mweka Gate. After completing the park procedures, meet your private transfer vehicle and return to Arusha. Enjoy a comfortable evening at your hotel after completing your Kilimanjaro climb.

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar.Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your private driver and transferred to your selected beach hotel. After check-in, spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the beach, swimming in the Indian Ocean or enjoying the hotel facilities.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before spending a full day relaxing at your beach hotel. Take a swim in the warm Indian Ocean, enjoy the white sandy beach, relax around the pool or simply unwind in the peaceful tropical surroundings. Optional activities can be arranged if desired.

Enjoy your final breakfast and a relaxed morning at the hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time to enjoy the beach before checking out. Your private driver will transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport in good time for your onward flight, marking the end of your Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar holiday with Tanzania Classic Tours.
