Mweka Camp is the final overnight campsite on the Mweka Route, located at approximately 3,100 metres (10,170 ft) above sea level. After the demanding summit day, trekkers descend to Mweka Camp, where the cooler altitude and forest environment provide a welcome change from the harsh alpine conditions above. The camp lies within the montane forest zone, surrounded by lush vegetation and the natural beauty of Kilimanjaro. It is an important resting point before the final descent to Mweka Gate, where trekkers officially complete their Kilimanjaro adventure.
