The Marangu Route is one of the most popular trekking routes to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Located on the southeastern side of the mountain, it offers a well-defined trail through diverse ecological zones, from lush rainforest to alpine desert, ending at the iconic Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Often known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” Marangu is unique for its hut accommodation system, making it more comfortable compared to camping routes. It is commonly chosen by climbers who prefer a structured and straightforward ascent while still experiencing the full natural beauty and challenge of Kilimanjaro.
