Ilboru Safari Lodge

The iconic Ilboru Safari Lodge, aptly perched under the foothills of spectacular Mt Meru, has been attracting mountain climbers and safari travelers to northern Tanzania for ages. This magnificent Swahili sanctuary is built on a five-acre tract on the outskirts of Arusha town, tucked away behind old trees and conveniently positioned between the northern safari circuit and Mt Kilimanjaro.

Our main goal is to provide simple comforts and excellent service.

Extra pillows, plush towels, and a desk where you can write in your journal…everything you’ll need to call our sanctuary home.

Our guests can stay in one of the forty-eight cottages, which include single, double, twin, triple, and family rooms. The main building has four cottages, each with a balcony facing the garden and near to the pool and other amenities. The rest of the double cottages are strewn over the grounds, which are lushly planted.
