After an early breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Arusha National Park, where you will complete the necessary registration before beginning your trek from Momella Gate.

The trail leads through beautiful montane forest, where you may encounter wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, monkeys, and various bird species. Continue gradually uphill through the forest towards Miriakamba Hut, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes along the way.

After reaching the hut, settle in and enjoy dinner before resting for the night.

Wake up early and continue your ascent towards Saddle Hut. The trail passes through the forest before opening into the moorland zone, offering increasingly dramatic views of Mount Meru’s volcanic slopes and crater.After a short rest at Saddle Hut, continue towards Socialist Peak, the summit of Mount Meru at approximately 4,566 metres (14,980 ft). The final section involves steeper terrain and a narrow ridge with spectacular views into the crater. Reach the summit and enjoy panoramic views across the surrounding landscape, including, weather permitting, views towards Mount Kilimanjaro. After celebrating your achievement and taking photographs, descend back to Saddle Hut for dinner and overnight rest.

After breakfast, begin your descent from Saddle Hut towards Miriakamba Hut and continue through the forest towards Momella Gate. Enjoy the final views of Mount Meru and the surrounding landscapes as you descend. Upon reaching Momella Gate, meet your driver and transfer back to Arusha, where your 3-day Mount Meru climbing adventure comes to an end.
