Ascend through heath and moorland onto the Shira Plateau with sweeping views. Distance: 5 km · Hiking: 4–6 hours.
Scale the Barranco Wall at sunrise, continue through the Karanga Valley (no overnight stop) and reach Barafu Camp. Early dinner and rest before the midnight summit push. Hiking: 7–9 hours.
Begin the summit ascent shortly after midnight, reach Stella Point at dawn and continue to Uhuru Peak for sunrise. Descend via Barafu to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest. Hiking: 10–14 hours.
Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate, receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Arusha for a hot shower and celebration.
