Ngorongoro Crater-Karatu

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is often referred to as a natural wildlife sanctuary due to its incredible concentration of animals within a relatively small area.

Inside the crater, you may spot the Big Five including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the endangered black rhino. Other animals commonly seen include zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, jackals, gazelles, and flamingos around Lake Magadi.

Tarangire National Park- Drive to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden safari gems and famous for its large elephant population and giant baobab trees.

Upon entering the park, enjoy a game drive along the Tarangire River, the main water source attracting wildlife throughout the year. The park is home to large herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, ostriches, and many bird species. During the dry season, Tarangire becomes one of the best places in Tanzania to observe animals gathering near the river.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while continuing with wildlife viewing and photography.
