All about this Tour

5 Days Marangu Route trekking is one of the most uncomplicated routes to climb up Mount Kilimanjaro’s summit – Kibo. The Marangu Route is the only route with homely beds at every camp. The Marangu route is well-developed since the route gives accommodation in huts and the climb is constant and moderate. The summit approach is slightly hard compared to other Kilimanjaro climbing trails as it wants commitment. The accommodation on the Marangu route is in manageable Mountain huts, which might be a benefit compared to the camping routes.

Day 2

Mandara Hut

checked your mountain equipment before collected from your hotel and transferred to Marangu gate. You served hot lunch in the gate and after the park complete park formalities you start hike begin at Marangu gate 1800m, you walk through lush rainforest with giant ferns and tall mahogany trees, listening to birds and spotting colobus monkeys. The path gradually ascends, giving a gentle start to your climb while surrounded by nature. Trek duration is about 4–5 hours.

Day 3

Horombo Hut

After breakfast hiking slowly to Horombo hut (3700m). Ascend from Mandara Hut through the upper rainforest into the moorland zone. Marvel at the change in vegetation, from dense forests to giant heathers and lobelias. Today hike takes 6 to 8 hours you will served hot lunch en route, the altitude begins to make itself felt cautioning you walk slowly “Pole Pole “in Swahili is the order of the day enjoying the flora and long views. The hike offers amazing views of Kilimanjaro’s peaks and the surrounding valleys.

Day 4

Kibo Hut

Today you hike slowly 6 hours to reach kibo hut. The trek across the barren, high-altitude alpine desert toward Kibo Hut. The landscape is stark yet beautiful, with rocky paths, moon-like scenery, and the shadow of Kilimanjaro stretching across the plains. Reach Kibo Hut in the afternoon to rest and prepare for the midnight summit climb. Trek duration: 5–6 hours. Overnight

Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

Gilman’s point is the demanding 5 hours on the whole climb and then continue another 2 hours to reach the Uhuru peak (5,895m). Descent to Kibo hut for hot lunch then horombo hut takes 4-5 hours. Trek duration: Summit 6–8 hours; descent 4–5 hours.

Marangu Gate

details in register, the successful climbers receive summit certificate, those climbers who Gilman’s point point is issued with green certificate and those who reached uhuru peak receive gold certificate. Then meet your drive guide and get hot lunch before drive back to your hotel.
