Join Tanzania Classic Tours for an unforgettable 4-day Mount Meru trek offers an excellent trekking in Tanzania and 2 days Tanzania classic wildlife safari, combining scenic landscapes with abundant wildlife, and rewarding views. Many people choose to climb Mt Meru as an acclimatization trek before attempting Mt Kilimanjaro. The journey begins at Momella gate in Arusha national park where trekker hiker through grassland and rainforest the home of giraffes, buffaloes, and colobus monkey. Arrival and Relaxation

Upon arrival, you will be met timeously at Kilimanjaro Airport by our Tanzania Classic Tours transfer guide, who will welcome you with warm smile, assisted with your luggage and escorted to your comfortable private vehicle then transfer you to your arranged hotel in Arusha. That evening, you will meet your mountain guide for a briefing on the hike and check your trekking gears and ensure that you have all necessary trekking gears for climbing mount Meru.

Miriakamba Hut

Your adventure with Tanzania classic Tours begins with after breakfast in your hotel, followed by a pickup from your hotel and a scenic drive to the Momella Gate in Arusha National Park. Upon arrival, the porters will organize and pack your belongings for the trek, while you and your guide complete the registration. Your start hiking heading to the Miriakamba hut, Along the way you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, and possibly elephants. For your safety, an armed ranger, provided by the National Park, will accompany your group throughout the hike. By late afternoon, you’ll reach Miriakamba Hut (2,500m), where our chef will prepare a delicious hot dinner and provide washing water. Enjoy the day with a breathtaking sunset before resting at the hut.

Day 3

Saddle Hut

After breakfast, the trek with Tanzania Classic Tours team continues with a steep ascent along the ridge of the saddle. Keep an eye out for wildlife as you walk, with stunning views of Mt. Meru Crater and the Ash Tray along the way. Upon reaching Saddle Hut (3,500m), you’ll have the chance to embark on an optional hike to Little Mount Meru (3,820m) with your guide. This additional trek is perfect for acclimatization and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. An early dinner will be served to ensure you get enough rest before your midnight summit attempt. Make sure you go to bed early and prepared for the challenge ahead.

Miriakamba Hut

Our Tanzania classic guide will wake you at midnight for a light tea with snacks before beginning your summit attempt at 1:30 AM. The climb starts with a steep ascent from Rhino Point (3,800m) to Cobra Point (4,350m). The final section requires scrambling along a rocky ridge between the crater and the inner cliffs of Mount Meru. You’ll reach the summit of Mount Meru (4,565m) just in time for sunrise, where you’ll be greeted with spectacular views of the Meru Ash Tray and Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Take a moment to enjoy the stunning scenery before beginning your descent. The descent takes you back to Saddle Hut for a brief break and breakfast, before continuing down to Miriakamba Hut

Momella Gate

After breakfast you follow a route back to the Momella Gate. This route is a little shorter, but there is still a chance to see elephants, buffalo, giraffe and colobus monkeys. At the gate you say goodbye to your team and ranger. After you have been issued a summit certificate, your driver will take you back to your accommodation in Arusha.

Tarangire National park

After breakfast, you will meet timeously by your expert safari guide at your hotel. Thereafter you will start your journey to Tarangire National Park for a full of game viewing takes 5 hours and distance From Arusha its takes 2 hours. The Park is rich with ancient giant baobab trees, also known as the ‘’Tree of life’’, which covers most of the landscape of the park, The Tarangire National Park has the largest concentration of elephant which you can see bathing in the Tarangire river, as well as giraffes, monkey, impala, eland and many birds. It is also one of the most beautiful places to see lion & leopard. you will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the national park surrounded by pristine wilderness and wildlife, taking a relaxing break in the heart of nature before continuing their game drive. In the late afternoon, you will be driven to your Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater

After early breakfast you start sunrise game drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch it takes 2 hours. Enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Serengeti with early morning light illuminating the vast plain and providing opportunity to spot wildlife in the way. Upon arrival Ngorongoro Conservation Area you start to descend into the Crater for a spectacular game drive. The Crater is home to the endangered species and big five animals like black rhino and you can spot lions, buffaloes, hippos, and many bird species. Enjoy the game takes 4 hours in game and delicious pinic lunch in the bush. In the afternoon ascend from the crater and drive to Arusha takes 3 hours.
