This 9-Day Tanzania Wildebeest Migration River Crossing Safari is a carefully designed journey focused on witnessing one of the most dramatic wildlife events in Africa—the Great Migration Mara River crossings in Northern Serengeti. The itinerary takes you through Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Highlands, Central Serengeti, and finally into the Northern Serengeti, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather at the Mara River and attempt to cross while facing natural predators such as crocodiles, lions, and hyenas.

Arrival & Arusha and Relaxation

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your professional Tanzania Classic Tours safari guide and transferred to Arusha. This is your gateway city to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. After check-in at your lodge, you will have time to relax, recover from your journey, and prepare for the upcoming safari adventure. A detailed briefing about the wildebeest migration river crossing experience will be provided in the evening.

Full Day in Northern Serengeti

Spend a full day in the Northern Serengeti following the migration herds. This is the highlight of the safari, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempt to cross the Mara River.
