Arrival in Arusha and Relaxation

Upon arrival at Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your lodge. Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s renowned safari destinations and provides the perfect setting to begin your adventure. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your journey, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and receiving a safari briefing from your guide in preparation for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Famous for its magnificent baobab trees and large concentrations of elephants, Tarangire offers some of the most rewarding wildlife viewing in Tanzania. As you explore the park, you may encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions, and numerous bird species scattered throughout the beautiful landscape. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife year-round, creating excellent opportunities for photography and close wildlife encounters. After an exciting day in the wilderness, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Drive to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of rolling hills, Maasai settlements, and vast open landscapes before entering the Serengeti ecosystem. As the endless plains unfold before you, wildlife sightings become increasingly frequent. You may spot elephants, giraffes, antelope, lions, cheetahs, and large herds of wildebeests roaming freely across the savannah. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or camp as the African sunset paints the plains in golden colors.

Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the magnificent Serengeti. After an early breakfast, set out for a full day of wildlife viewing across one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. The park is home to an incredible variety of wildlife and offers excellent chances to observe predators and prey interacting within their natural environment. Your guide will take you to different wildlife-rich areas where you may encounter lion prides, cheetahs hunting across the plains, elephants wandering through the grasslands, and countless other animals. Every game drive presents new opportunities and unique sightings, making this one of the highlights of your safari.

Morning Game Drive in Serengeti National Park and Drive to Ngorongoro Highlands

Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti while wildlife is most active. The early hours often provide excellent opportunities to witness animal behavior and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the wilderness before departing the park. Later, drive toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the route, continue spotting wildlife while taking in beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim where you can relax and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views before dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater and Departure

After breakfast, descend into the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor. This natural wonder is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa and offers exceptional opportunities to see a wide variety of animals in a relatively small area. As you explore the crater, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, and the rare black rhino. The crater’s diverse habitats support an extraordinary ecosystem, making every moment rewarding for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike. After lunch, begin the drive back to Arusha where your Best Classic Tanzania Adventure concludes with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s spectacular wildlife and landscapes.
