Mount Kilimanjaro Day Tour Itinerary
MANDARA HUT – ARUSHA – MARANGU GATE – ARUSHA
Your day trip begins at 7:00 a.m. with a hotel pickup. Drive 3 hours to the Marangu Gate, where you will register with the Kilimanjaro National Park authorities at the gate and begin hiking at 11 a.m. Today’s route, the Marangu Route, reaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast. We will aim to reach the Mandara Hut by trekking through the lower altitudes and stopping for a picnic lunch along the way. When we get to the hut at 14:00 hrs, we’ll take a 30-minute break before descending slowly for 2.5 hours back to Marangu Gate. We will pick you up and return you to your Arusha hotel at 20:00 hours.
