We will explore Lake Duluti, an old crater that has turned into a lake, on the Lake Duluti Day excursion. The depth of the water is incredible. It is said to be more than 700 meters deep, however, this has yet to be proved. Lake Duluti is nestled amongst lush green woodlands and offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Mt. Meru and sometimes even Mt. Kilimanjaro may be seen from here. For reptiles and birds, it’s a haven. Sunbathing monitor lizards can be found on the lake’s shore, and a wide variety of birds have built their homes here. Monkeys can occasionally be spotted swinging from the treetops along the lake’s edge.
